Over the past decade, training has become a major priority for law enforcement and corrections officers. At the CTS Training Institute (CTSTI), we take training seriously advocating preparedness before the worst case scenario unfolds. CTSTI is "A Force for Order" combining product tools with knowledge and techniques. Our courses prepare the individual officer for the situation while addressing policy and procedure for the agency managing the risks.

CTSTI offers a variety of training programs. Each program has relevance to CTS products. For example, the less lethal instructor training course, consisting of a 4-day program to certify officers as less-lethal instructors, incorporates less lethal products with classroom instruction and practical application. At the completion of the course, officers have the knowledge of the product and the appropriate techniques to return to their respective agencies and certify others in the safe and effective use of each less-lethal option. In addition to less lethal classes from CTSTI, Penn Arms, the premier manufacture of less lethal launchers, offers armorer schools for a variety of 37MM and 40MM platforms. In 2009, CTSTI will expand its instruction to include a 3-day Corrections Course, a 2 day Grenadier Course (SWAT or Mobile Field Force) and a 1 day Breaching Course.

4 Day Instructor Certification Program $695.00

All courses are taught on an 8 hour per day basis and include classroom and range exercises. Information provided, will include history of the product, nomenclature of the product, use of force considerations, different applications for the product, training examples, and legal implications.

2 Day Field Force Grenadier Course $350.00

This is an operator course designed for hands on training. Course is a blend of classroom as well as range exercises. Students will experience a variety of formations, munitions, and launching platforms required to deal with civil disorder.

2 Day SWAT/Tactical Grenadier Course $300.00

This is an operator course designed for hands on training. Course is a blend of classroom as well as range exercises. Students will experience the use of various munitions and launching platforms for Tactical Operations.

1 Day Breaching Class $125.00

This is an operator course designed for hands on training. Course is a blend of classroom as well as range exercises. Students may bring breaching tools, but not required.

This is an Instructor Certification course designed for those officers with a desire to learn new breaching techniques and develop their instruction skills. Course is a blend of classroom as well as range exercises. Students may bring breaching tools, but not required.

3 Day Corrections Course $350.00

This is an Instructor Level Course and incorporates 2 classes from the ICP, Impact and Chemical Munitions. Day 3 of this course will focus on restoring order in a Correctional Facility, including, but not limited to, Inmates Riots. Course is a blend of classroom and field exercise.

2 Day Penn Arms Armorer’s Course $125.00

This is an Armorer’s Course designed for those officers assigned to the agency’s armory and responsible for the care and maintenance of weapons and launchers. The course is hands on and will focus on care and repair of Penn Arms 37mm and 40mm Launchers. Both single shot and multi-shot launchers will be covered.

1 Day Custodial Handcuffing and Restraints Course $95.00

This is an Operators Course designed by Police and Corrections officers, and is specific to the function of handcuffing or applying other types of restraints. In addition to applying restraints, students will be trained in the methods of movement and escorting of suspects or inmates.
