VENOM^® is a high-capacity, variable-payload system capable of delivering a non-lethal effect rapidly over a large area.  This system will provide the U.S. Marine Corps with the capability to deliver a high volume of non-lethal stun munitions at designated ranges, day or night.  Consistent with the current mandate to lessen civilian casualties in military operations, the VENOM^® system will allow the war fighter to separate combatants from non-combatants, escalate force as necessary and enhance force protection during vehicle check points, entry control points and convoy security operations.  The addition of VENOM^® to the MARCORSYSCOM arsenal will give the war fighter the ability to deliver a non-lethal payload without compromising the ability to immediately deliver an appropriate lethal capability from the adjoining “Ma Duce” and other heavy machine guns.
